Frequently Asked Questions
Do you accept my insurance?
In most (99.9%) cases, the answer is YES. The only time we cannot take your insurance is if you are required to use a closed network. This is not very common as it is not in the patient’s best interest. Just contact us and we can let you know in just a few minutes.
What is my Copay?
Copayments vary from person to person, even if they have the same insurance plan and medication. Copays are set by your insurance and NOT the pharmacy. If curious what your copay would be for a new or old medication, we can submit a test claim to your insurance and let you know.
Do you have a discount cash prescription plan?
Yes we do. King’s Pharmacy offers deep discounts on all cash prescriptions for patients without insurance. Unlike some of the bigger companies, we price all of our medications fairly, instead of playing the bait and switch game. Give us a shot at saving you money! We even offer 6 and 12 month supplies.
Can you contact my doctor?
Of course! When we fill the last refill left on your presciption, we automatically contact your doctor to request a new one. If a medication needs a prior authorization from you insurance company, we start the paperwork and send it to your doctor to complete. Medication that can save you money or work better? We will request that also.
What is compounding?
Pharmacy compounding is the art and science of preparing personalized medications for patients. Compounded medications are “made from scratch” – individual ingredients are mixed together in the exact strength and dosage form required by the patient. This method allows the compounding pharmacist to work with the patient and the prescriber to customize a medication to meet the patient’s specific needs.
What Medicare plan is best for me?
Medicare can be tough to navigate for everyone. That’s why we have invested in a program that takes your current medication profile and automatically determines what your best Medicare Part D plan options are from medicare.gov. Saving you time and money for the following year. Click here for more info!
